Assistance League of Kansas City’s Heartland Auxiliary was formed in 1991 and supports the mission and vision of the chapter. Heartland Auxiliary provides individuals an evening volunteer opportunity. The Auxiliary funds and manages the Operation Child in Need program. Auxiliary members hold monthly evening meetings. Auxiliary members may attend the daytime chapter meetings and may serve on chapter committees, but may not vote at chapter meetings.

Assistance League of Kansas City’s Assisteens Auxiliary was formed in 1998. It affords teens, in grades 7 through 12, the opportunity to make a difference in their communities.
Through their philanthropic work and relationship building, Assisteens develop:
- sense of community responsibility
- personal responsibility
- leadership skills
Assisteens participate in the philanthropic programs of the organization. In addition, they manage their own program, Operation Celebration
